Sacramento native, self proclaimed skateboarding gypsy, Andy Dicker, is an illustrator and comedian who uses his passion for positive inspiration to create. He is highly involved within the skateboard community. In the summers, he plays the role of director for the YMCA skateboard camp on Sequoia Lake. Throughout the rest of the year, he is found traveling with friends or hosting charitable events and skateboard contests. His illustrations have been shown in the Southern California area, as well as on t-shirts and stickers for a number of skateboard brands. While in the residency at the Growlery, Dicker will be creating a youtube series, which will portray three fictional artists (illustrator, musician, and photographer) as they prepare for their group show. Through the magic of comedy, he will connect the community to three relatable characters and their passions to create.
