Anna Heywood-Jones

Anna Heywood-Jones is a Canadian artist based in Vancouver, British Columbia on unceded Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh territories. Her practice is focused on building regional lexicons of colour and exploring the complex relationship between human and botanical spheres. Through her work, Heywood-Jones strives to convey notions of slow loss and transformation, examining the metamorphic nature of human, vegetal and geological expressions of existence. She holds an MFA degree from NSCAD University and a BFA degree from Emily Carr University.
