Étienne is a French sociologist who lives in Paris, and on a plane. Since he got his PhD in 2012, he has taught and lectured in numerous places in Argentina, Canada, the USA, and Europe.

His research deals with issues of representation. It investigates our visions of the social world in an era of massive data, along with their empirical, theoretical, and political consequences. His current study at the French parliament follows representatives to understand the fabric of politics.

During his stay at the Growlery, Étienne will complete a book about the transformation of political power in France, and start a project about the spatial organization of power in parliaments.
