NightLife’s summer music series returns! Inspired by science and powered by sound, the Academy will transform into an oasis of music and art on one special night per month with NightLife LIVE 2016.

On the outdoor West Garden stage, catch a live performance by headliner Chrome Sparks, the synth-heavy, dance project of Jeremy Malvin (and don’t miss the funk and soul-influenced dance tracks of opening act Planet Booty).

In between sets, sip on NightLife’s signature beer—Magnolia Aliciella Bitter—brewed using plant types found on the museum’s Living Roof. As you take in cutting-edge exhibits and 38,000 live animals in the world’s greenest museum, browse local vendors like Amoeba Records and San Franpsycho.

Enjoy this month’s featured art gallery, The Midway, plus featured artists Rachel Znerold, Anna Landa, and OpenLab. Make animal-inspired crafts with Julia Jane Moore and let your creative juices flow with Paint Pens Collective. Plus, don’t miss special "science side shows” at each NightLife LIVE event.
