ROXANNE FAY is an actor, writer, director, and producing artistic director of
Circle In The Water, LLC.
Roxanne was awarded the 2017 Creative Pinellas Individual Artist Fellowship for her work as a theatrical creator. Since 2011, she has created several theatre events to highlight the artists and works exhibited at the Dali Museum, St. Petersburg, which presented her newest work, Fabrication, in November 2017 as part of the Dali exhibition of surrealist designer Elsa Schiaparelli. Other plays commissioned by the Dali include works included in the exhibitions on Da Vinci, Walt Disney, and Picasso.
In 2016, Roxanne was awarded the Hawthornden Writers’ Fellowship and spent a month as playwright in residence at Hawthornden Castle in Scotland, where she created a two new plays to be premiered in 2019. She is honored to join The Growlery as a 2018 artist in residence.
Roxanne’s plays have been produced in the Tampa Bay area (FL), in Chicago, at the United Solo Festival in NYC, and in upstate New York. Her novella, Upon This Rock: The Magdalene Speaks, which is the basis for her play of the same title, is available on amazon.com.
As an actor, Roxanne has received acclaim and awards for roles including Beatrice in
The Effect Of Gamma Rays On Man-In-The-Moon Marigolds,Touchstone in As You Like It, Feste in Twelfth Night, Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing, Dr. Emma Brookner in The Normal Heart, Ruth in Collected Stories, and Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest. In January 2018, Roxanne will lead the cast of The Tempest as Prospero at Jobsite Theater in Tampa, FL and portray Nazi propagandist filmmaker, Leni Riefenstahl in May, 2018 for Bridge Street Theatre in New York.
