Mohsin Shafi

Mohsin Shafi (b. 1982) is an interdisciplinary artist who lives and works in Lahore, Pakistan. He received his Bachelors in Visual Communication (2008) and his Masters in Visual Arts (2011) from the National College of Arts, Lahore, Pakistan. Shafi has showcased his work at prominent local and international institutions. Selected residencies include Vasl Artists residency, Karachi, Pakistan (2010); Rondo Studios, Graz, Austria (2012). Shafi’s work resides in prominent collections in Pakistan and it is in the permanent collection of The Museum of Sacred Art in Belgium and at Mills College, San Francisco. He recently exhibited at Fakir Khana Museum, as part of Foundation Art Divvy’s exhibition, “I, too, am a part of this history”, a collateral to LB01, the Lahore Biennale (2018) and is currently working for his first solo in London at 198 Gallery which will take place end of this year. Shafi is an active member of the ‘Awami Art Collective’, which is a unique group of artists intervening in the public space in Pakistan for peaceful co-existence and celebration of diversity.
